In spring, the awakening season, Probios’ range of products is enriched with a breakfast classic.
From March on, the new Artisanal Rusks will be available in three tasty versions: Wholemeal Spelt, Wholemeal “Cappelli” with sunflower, flax and sesame and Wholemeal Multigrain with flax and sesame. Perfect for spreading creams and jams on for breakfast, but also as a fragrant savory snack or as bread replacement to accompany the meal. They are so good and crunchy because they are produced with manual and artisanal methods, in a traditional oven.
Crunchy and golden, they are realized with exclusively Italian stone milled flours and Italian cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. The leavening is slow and natural and lasts for 24 hours: the mother yeast* that has been used has been cared for and fed for over thirty years. A palm oil free source of fiber and protein, it’s is packaged in 2 practical 6-slices box to always have a fragrant portion available.
Wholewheat Mezze Penne are another new addition for this March, enriching our already wide range of pasta with a classic pasta shape loved by Italians. A pasta rich in fiber which, due to its size and lines, is suitable for any type of dressing.
We pride ourselves in keeping the Italian tradition of producing good quality pasta, as well as the commitment to the environment and the protection of ecosystems. In fact, the new pasta is packaged in an innovative ecopack, made entirely with recyclable paper.
For many years, Probios has voluntarily been printing specific recycling instructions on its packaging, so as to facilitate its correct collection. Since the end of 2019, the company has also undertaken a gradual transition from plastic packaging to recyclable paper packaging, in order to contribute to an increasingly plastic free world. It’s estimated that, thanks to this epochal transition, Probios will contribute to the reduction of 12 tons/year of plastic released into the environment.

* The sourdough is made up of a mixture of water and flour, left in contact with the air so that it’s enriched with the yeasts present in the environment. Natural leavening is much slower and more complex than the beer yeast leavening, but it makes the products more pleasant and improves their conservation.
